Gems of the Fire

Soda Stories can be found in the bellies of a few very special kilns.
Not every kiln is capable of leaving its touch on the work being fired, but a “Kazegama” WindKiln leaves a unique thumbprint. Fired heavily near the flame front with soda, basic forms (if they survive) can become gems of the fire.

Artist and Kiln collaborate to create objects of elemental beauty.

SodaObjects of rare fate.
