It’s a Game

Yes, this is playing with charcoal on paper, but it doesn’t necessarily feel like I’m drawing. It feels more like a game. A stack of decisions that either work together or they don’t work together. A few decisions that pull the wrong way and the whole stack is forfeit. Each mark, each smudge, each stroke made is a risk, a calculated risk, but still a risk all the same. I’m seeing a lot of good decisions… but I’m seeing more than a few I’d prefer to make differently.
It’s okay to rack it up and do it all again. It’s just a game.
