Spending a few hours on the porch today, enjoying the warmth of a sunbeam and the feel of a soft spring breeze. A hot tea at hand and the dog on my lap, company while drawing a small vase of flowers cut from Jess’s garden.

It’s moments like this that make for solid reasoning for learning to do this. The world is in quarantine and it’s beauty is that much more valued as I find myself detaching from thought and flow into the moment, teasing apart the tones and shadows, and simply drawing.
