Too quiet…
Would I cross a room to look closer at these? Does anything get resolved upon inspection? What’s the shortcoming that’s at issue?
It’s the lack of placement in a narrative landscape. No story is being even hinted at. Theres no secondary objects. There’s no compositional play happening using blocks of value. The corners aren’t pinned down. Not enough diversity of marks. It’s too quiet.
